Todd’s Top Tunes of Twenty-Ten - #09

I love to listen to soundtracks when I read. I love to listen to awesome soundtracks when I read comics. So THIS soundtrack got a heck of a lot of play this year whilst reading comics in my car.

#9 - Hans Zimmer - INCEPTION

This soundtrack can be summed up in one word. Epic. No, that’s not enough. Two words, amazingly epic. Boom. This, in my opinion, is the best score Zimmer has ever done. Not only is some of the music breathtaking, but it fits the movie. I can’t see an ad for the flick or even think about it without going “BWAAAAAHHHHH” in my head or even out loud for that matter.

The Dark Knight score had its moments of awesome, but this just blew it out of the water in re-listenability. I’ve listened to this score all the way through countless times and it never gets old.

Picture this if you will, little Toddtizzle sitting in his car on break, reading awesome comic books. This incredible soundtrack is playing. Wolverine is talking with Spidey and decides he’s gonna take on this big huge planet looking thing with a gun. I know this is coming, so I wait for the right moment. SPLASH PAGE! BWAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!

It doesn’t get much better than that if you ask me. Listen folks, if you have to listen to ANY soundtrack this year, it better be this one.

Runner up goes to either of the Scott Pilgrim soundtracks. Those were awesome too.

Key Tracks: Old Souls, Waiting for a Train, Time
